How the ladder works
Get placed
Play 10 placement matches. Your MMR moves fast while the system works out where you belong, then you're on the ladder.
Win to climb
A win gains MMR and a loss costs it. Beating a stronger team gains more, and losing to a weaker one costs more.
Fair matches
Matchmaking looks for players near your MMR and balances the teams, and parties are matched on their average - so every climb is earned.
